As a performance additive and extender, it enhances stiffness, dimensional stability, surface finish and cost in use in plastics, rubber, coatings, adhesives and composites. Available in a variety of particle sizes and grades to suit specific processing and performance requirements, Magsil® Talc supports improved melt behaviour, opacity and reinforcement, while also contributing to lightweighting and improved mechanical performance. Particle size and grade options Magsil® Talc is available across a controlled range of particle size distributions to suit different formulation and processing requirements. Grades are offered from fine micronised options at approximately 2 µm (d50) through to coarser reinforcement grades up to approximately 20 µm (d50), with mid range grades commonly used where balanced dispersion and reinforcement are required.
